What is SupplyVue?
Supply chain theory is relatively straightforward, yet poorly adopted in practice. A contributing factor is the largely invisible nature of supply chains. It is difficult to see the consequence of an action taken in one department or company on the broader supply chain. Decisions that are optimal for one department or company but sub-optimal for the broader supply chain are the norm. This results in poor customer service, an increased cost to supply or a combination of both.
WMG has worked with Concentra through two Innovate UK grants to support the development of SupplyVue, a tool that is designed to improve supply chain visibility and decision making. WMG will use the tool to support their applied research and teaching activities. It is fundamental to WMG supporting companies to deliver customer value at lowest possible supply chain cost, whilst ensuring a fair return to all parties across the supply chain.
